When entering an observation in LIFT you do not have to use all of the fields, however you MUST ensure that you have provided all the important reference information.  This is why all information in the Summary Information is compulsory.  If you forget to update one or more of the fields, LIFT will not submit your observation and a reminder to complete these will be highlighted.

Weblink

You may wish to share a link to the web. Examples of this include youtube videos you have shared with children during the program or helpful factsheets.

Link to an EYLF Outcome'
Using drop down choose the PRIMARY EYLF outcome observed (This is for tracking your focus, use the above fields to discuss other EYLF outcomes observed

Link to developmental milestone to support early intervention (Optional)

If desired use the drop down menus to assist assessment.

Future Opportunities and possibilities & Link to a Program.

This is the how you extend or build learning upon what you have just observed. For example this is the 'What's Next' part of a learning story.

Write a prompt idea for how you could follow up or build upon the learning observed. Once you have chosen the program you wish to link to, this prompt will also then be displayed in that program to remind you to follow up on that learning in that program cycle.

There is no real time limit on how far in advance you can follow up on an activity, although we recommend no longer than 6 weeks when extending on a previous learning experience. However, cultural follow ups, special dates and evens can work very well to be followed up far into the future.
