The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to tell you what kind of information we may gather about you when you visit our site, how we may use that information, whether we disclose it to anyone, and the choices you have regarding our use of, and your ability to correct this information. Our policy allows you to choose what kind and how much information you provide to us and to control how we use whatever information you give us. All information Raise Learning Pty Ltd store and online web based services, including LIFT receives from its customers is protected by our secure server. Raise Learning Pty Ltd store and online web based services, including LIFT’s secure server software encrypts all customer information before it is sent to us. Furthermore, all customer data collected is secured against unauthorized use or access. Credit card information is not stored by us on our servers.

 

Collection of information

Raise Learning Pty Ltd will collect personal information that lets us know the specifics of who you are such as your name, email address, or postal address,when you provide it to us. With this information, Raise Learning can provide a variety of personalised and enhanced services that are not available to anonymous users. We hope that you will find it beneficial to provide individually identifiable information about yourself to us because it will make our services more valuable to you.

Sometimes, we may specifically ask for personal information about you when you sign up to use a service. Certain information may be required, such as your name, age, internet address or screen name, billing address, type of computer, credit card number, in order to provide that service or product to you. This information may also be used to inform you of additional products and services which may interest you. You can choose not to receive such information when you are undertaking product or service registration on our website. This will only apply if you have registered or subscribed to such publications by your registering your details with us. However if you wish to cease receiving any such information you may let us know either by email or unsubscribing at any time and your request will be actioned as soon as possible. Individual profile and company details are not used for any other purpose. Details are only supplied to a third party supplier when it is required by law, for goods or services which you have purchased or to protect Raise Learning Pty Ltd store and online web based services, including LIFT copyright, trademarks and other legal rights. We respect the privacy of our online visitors. We may collect information on or through this website that can personally identify you. For example, we collect personally identifiable information which you volunteer to us to respond to visitor questions and comments about us and our products and services, and to mail e-newsletters (“Personal Data”).

We will use all reasonable means to protect the confidentiality of your Personal Data while in our possession or control. We will not knowingly share any of your Personal Data with any third party other than our service providers who assist us in providing the information and/or services we are providing to you. We are free to use and reproduce any such information freely, and for any purpose whatsoever. Specifically, we will be free to use any ideas, concepts, know-how or techniques contained in such information for any purpose, including developing, manufacturing or marketing products.

Raise Learning will only use the personal information you have chosen to provide us for the purpose for which you provided it. Raise Learning will not use it for any other purpose without your consent.

Disclosure

There will be occasions where it will be necessary for Raise Learning to disclose your personal information to third parties. Raise Learning may be required by law to disclose the information, or Raise Learning may be required to disclose your personal information to third parties to provide the service you have requested, for example, if you purchase products online from Raise Learning Shop, Raise Learning will need to disclose your personal information to third parties in order to bill and deliver your products. However, the disclosure will only be made where it is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which you disclosed your personal information. Otherwise than stated above, we do not disclose personal information that you may give us, such as your name, address, email address or telephone number, to any organisation or person outside Raise Learning unless you have authorised us to do so. For example, when you contribute to an online forum you may want to publish your name and email address.

No sale of personal information

Under no circumstances will Raise Learning sell or receive payment for licensing or disclosing your personal information.

Interacting with Raise Learning

There are many interactive features on Raise Learning that you can contribute to such as our online blog or facebook page. When interacting with Raise Learning, we suggest that you use your discretion and exercise caution when providing your personal information.

Note that whenever you post personal information in publicly accessible places, such as chat rooms or message boards, this information becomes available to anyone with access to the internet. This information can be collected and used by others. In short, if you post personal information online that is accessible to the public, you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in return. Therefore, we recommend that you refrain from posting any information that you do not want seen in these public areas. For example, when participating in an Raise Learning forum, guest book or chat area, your name will appear on the message board. Raise Learning recommends that applicants registering online do not use their real names, but a pen name or pseudonym. You must not intentionally use the name of another living person.

Ultimately, you are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your passwords and/or any personal information. Be responsible whenever you are online.

Access and correction: personal data

If Raise Learning holds your personal information Raise Learning will where possible provide you with access to the information. Raise Learning will take reasonable steps to correct the information so that it is accurate, complete and up to date.

 

Special Privacy Provisions for our product "LIFT"

LIFT stores and handles information for early childhood services, including sensitive and personal information about children using those services. Raise Learning takes numerous security protocols to ensure that only persons authorised to use and handle that information access that information.  Refer to our security policy.

Raise Learning and its employees do not manage the processing of parental/family access to the LIFT service.  This task is wholly managed by administrators of each service to ensure that each services maintains the integrity and privacy of their own information. Raise Learning provides guidance on how to meet the privacy requirements of families and children, but these are only suggested, and it is up to each service to review their own existing privacy arrangements (verbal or written) and ensure revised arrangements, commitments and advice is adequate. Raise Learning accepts no liability for inadequate privacy arrangements or any erroneous access to information.  Please refer specifically to your early childhood's services own Privacy Policy.  

Raise Learning employees who have access to LIFT to support services manage and use their accounts are:

- early childhood trained with early childhood management experience;

- screen checked with both police checks and National Working with Children's Card. 

Updated provision (24/01/2014) 

In line with privacy 'access and correction' requirements any information held within LIFT may be changed or removed by direct request of person to whom that information relates (which includes a child's parent or guardian).  


Complaints about privacy

If you have any complaints relating to online privacy issues on our websites, please notify Raise Learning. While Raise Learning accepts no liability for any material or links posted to the service, we will investigate all complaints.
